The contest will be divided in to two categories: a junior category (children up to age 15) and a general category (16 and up) are invited to submit original or electronic artwork for consideration. Judging will be based on originality and creativity, as well as a design that captures the spirit of the event and incorporates a “food” theme. The winner will be announced on August 1, 2008.

The winner of the junior category will receive a $50 cash prize. The winning design of the general category will be printed on the official Taste of Stones River t-shirt and the winner will be awarded a cash prize of $100. In addition to receiving keepsake t-shirts, both winners will receive special recognition at the Taste of Stones River event, which will be held at Stones River Mall, September 14, and on this website.

Entry Specifications

1. Design should be on 8 1/2 X 11 paper
2. All mediums are acceptable (crayon, chalk, colored pencils, paint)
3. No clip art

Rules and Agreement

I understand that by entering the Taste of Stones River Art Competition I transfer all rights, including artwork and all copyrights, to the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties, and agree to the official rules and regulations. I agree to have my artwork and design displayed on the official Taste of Stones River t-shirt and agree to reproductions of my art. The artwork that I am submitting is an original for which I am the sole creator and owner. I did not copy my artwork from any other art, photo or material, and to the best of my knowledge, my art is not very similar in appearance to any other art, photo or material. I agree that if the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties determines (in its sole discretion) that I have violated any of these rules, the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties may disqualify me from this competition. To protect your privacy, do not sign the front of your artwork. Artwork may be scanned and emailed in a jpeg or eps format or dropped off at a listed site. The United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties is not responsible for artwork not being submitted correctly and will not judge entries that arrive after the deadline of July 29, 2008 at 5p.m.
